Gunung Raya (Mount Raya)

gunung-raya

Known as Langkawi’s tallest mountain, Gunung Raya is located almost at the center of the island. The peak offers a scenic view of the island landscapes below, and one can drives (or even hike) up the road to the peak, where there is a lookout tower for the scenery from the above. There used to be a hotel or a spa center but had since being closed and it costs RM 10 to go up to the top of the tower.

The Langkawi Sky Bridge

The Langkawi Sky Bridge reopened again last year after a long period of closure due to renovation and upgrading works. The Sky Bridge is one of the modern architectural marvels of Langkawi and a must visit attraction on the island. The suspended bridge offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountainous region of Mat Chinchang geopark.

The Langkawi SkyGlide is actually an incline elevator that brings visitors down to the Sky Bridge from the cable car top station of Mat Chinchang mountain. A recent addition to the top station, the SkyGlide is an alternate way for those who do not wish to walk to the Sky Bridge.

It costs an additional MYR 15 for the SkyGlide.
