The Teluk Baru Jetty is one of the several jetties used as the starting point for island hopping boat tour.
Known as Langkawi’s tallest mountain, Gunung Raya is located almost at the center of the island. The peak offers a scenic view of the island landscapes below, and one can drives (or even hike) up the road to the peak, where there is a lookout tower for the scenery from the above. There used to be a hotel or a spa center but had since being closed and it costs RM 10 to go up to the top of the tower.

The Langkawi International Airport is located at the Padang Matsirat area, on the western coast of the island. It is also the usual venue for the LIMA exhibition held on the island every two years.
