The Teluk Baru Jetty is one of the several jetties used as the starting point for island hopping boat tour.
The most crowded beach in Langkawi, Cenang Beach (or Pantai Cenang) is located at the western stretch of the island. Many hotels and restaurants can be seen lining up along the main road of Cenang town.
The sight of the giant eagle sculpture greets visitors who arrive at the island by ferry or boat. Langkawi can be reached via the sea route from Penang, Kuala Kedah and Kuala Perlis ports.
Teluk Yu or translated as “Bay of Sharks” is a stretch of beach located along the northern coast of Langawi Island, bewteen Pantai Pasir Hitam and Pantai Pasir Tengkorak. There is a little park (called Taman Awam Teluk Yu) serving as a waterfront promenade for those who wish to take a stroll along the beach which overlooks the islands off the south of Thailand.
