Langkawi Isle: The Langkawi Falls

The Langkawi Falls is a man-made waterfall built along the road to Datai Bay, northern tip of Langkawi. The waterfall, which was also accorded as the highest man-made waterfall in the Malaysian Book of Records, was built under the former prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. With natural flora surroundings, the waterfall blends nicely into the landscape as it also flows over a road cave tunnel.

Langkawi Falls is made up of three tiers and using water from the Sungai Temurun River, is diverted and channelled manually to flow across the tunnel with the final tier levelling out to form a beautiful cascade.
